Lysterfield
2022
The original characteristics of this home consisted of exposed brown bricks, slate flooring, shabby chic wallpaper and honey-stained joinery which was in need of an update. My clients requested that this home interior be transformed into a contemporary farmhouse meets provincial, to keep with the original homestead style of the exterior.
We adjusted the original floorplan which allowed us to knock down a wall dividing the living and meals areas and splitting the original formal dining room into a spacious walk-in pantry and home office. The wet areas were reconfigured so allow for a bigger main bathroom and a double shower and vanity in the ensuite.
My clients requested that the kitchen be classic and white while the bathrooms and laundry be classic, however bold. We went with a clean white kitchen with shaker style joinery paired with black appliances and hardware and a unique timber cross detail on either end of the island. I love the exciting colours and patterns used in the wet areas. The laundry was definitely a crowd favourite with seafoam green joinery, and pearl Moroccan subway tiles.
Unfortunately, we were not able to photograph this project on completion. 3D Renders are shown.
